Additional fees may apply, such as a $10 per semester Student Services Fee, and an on-campus parking fee of $40 per semester or $2 per day. School expenses for the whole year, other than tuition and including books, averages at about $650 per student if the student lives at home.

YCC features a broad range of payment options for fees and tuition. Accepted methods of payment include credit cards, debit cards, checks, and money orders. You can pay online, by phone, or by automatic bank transfer. You can pay in full or set up a payment plan.

Scholarships and financial aid are available to many who apply. Approximately 85 percent of enrolled students at Yuba Community College receive some sort of financial aid, according to campusexplorer.com.


7. How long does it take to earn a degree from Yuba College?

For students who attend Yuba Community College full time, it takes approximately two years of successful enrollment to earn an Associate of Arts degree or an Associate of Science degree. Most vocational certifications also take two years.

However, students can make their own schedules. A student who attends school part time will probably take longer than two years to earn a degree. On the other hand, students who take on a double workload (not that you should) can earn their degrees in less than two years.

8. What is the Yuba College campus like?

The main campus of Yuba Community College covers 160 acres dotted with trees and served by 23 buildings. These buildings house classrooms, labs, and workshops, as well as administration offices, dining halls, a childcare center, a music studio, a theater box office, a library, and a bookstore, to name just a few on-campus conveniences.

Surrounding the campus buildings are two main parking lots, several ball fields, and a sports complex. The athletic teams at Yuba are called the 49ers. The school colors are blue and gold. Among the varsity sports for men and women at Yuba Community College are baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, track & field, and volleyball. Yuba athletes are governed by the rules of the California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA), the Bay Valley Conference (BVC), the Northern California Football Conference (NCFC), and by the regulations of Yuba Community College.

Non sporting activities on campus include a student-run college newspaper, a theater group, and many other student interest groups and organizations.

The Yuba Community College bookstore features numerous items, including textbooks and general merchandise. A similar bookstore is located over at the Clearlake campus. Also on the Clearlake campus is a Childcare Development Center.

Just over a mile northwest of Yuba Community College is Marysville Raceway Park. Roughly five miles southwest of YCC is the Yuba County Airport. About a mile to the north is the Peach Tree Golf and Country Club. Roughly two miles to the west along North Beale Road is a large grocery store. Approximately four miles from campus is the Yuba River. 

Immediately south of the Yuba campus in Clearlake is the Clearlake Shopping Center.

Nature lovers will appreciate the Anderson Marsh State Historical Park and Clear Lake, located less than a mile southwest of the YCC Clearlake campus. 

The general area features a number of public bus routes to get you around town.

Sacramento is situated roughly 60 miles southeast of the Yuba campus, and the city of Santa Rosa is located roughly 50 miles south.  

10. Does Yuba College offer distance learning?

Yes. Distance learning at Yuba involves both televised courses and fully online courses. Yuba Community College offers distance learning for a number of courses, including veterinary technology. Distance learning courses are just as rigorous as classroom courses. Still, not all classes at Yuba are available online.
