According to the Middlesex website, the total student cost of tuition and fees to enroll at MCC full time (15 credits) is $5,990 per semester for in-state students. 

For most part time students, the cost of tuition and fees comes to 

  • $195 per credit for Massachusetts residents
  • $207 per credit for non Massachusetts residents of New England
  • $401 per credit for students from outside of New England, including International students

Other fees may also apply. These may include application fees, registration fees, lab fees, and technology fees, among others. 

Certain programs (such as nursing) may cost extra. 


Financial aid may be available in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and work study programs, to help students pay for their educations at MCC.

Approximately 42 percent of MCC students receive financial aid. 




7. How long does it take to earn a degree from Middlesex Community College?

For a full time student, it should take about two years to earn an Associate's degree. Skilled trade certificates can take up to one year, although many certificates can be completed in less than one year. Roughly 44 percent of students at MCC attend the school full time.

For part timers, how long it takes to complete a degree or certificate depends on the student's schedule. 




8. What are the Middlesex Community College campuses like?

The main building on the Lowell campus is a six-story former corporate training center located on Kearney Square. Since its inception, the college has acquired several additional buildings nearby, including a building that is shared by MCC and University of Massachusetts.

The Lowell campus is home to the 100-seat MCC Theater, as well as the school's dental hygiene clinic and nursing learning center. 


The Bedford campus occupies 200 acres on the grounds of the Veteran's Hospital in Bedford, and consists of eleven buildings. These include classrooms, labs, offices, a library, and a concert hall, to name a few. Also on the grounds of the Bedford campus are a bookstore, a cafeteria, a student lounge, and a fitness center. 

There is no on-campus student housing offered at MCC.
