The state of Tennessee is located in the southeastern continental United States. It is bordered by eight other states: Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri.
Tennessee is geographically divided into three distinct regions: east (Mountains), middle (plateaus), and west (gulf coastal plain). Most of Tennessee features a humid, subtropical climate.
Although the cities of Memphis and Nashville are well known as the homes of country music, Tennessee is also known for its many natural wonders. These include stunning caverns and caves, as well as numerous crystal clear blue lakes.

Some of Tennessee's most impressive tourist attractions are Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park, the Tennessee Aquarium in Downtown Chattanooga, Beale Street in Downtown Memphis, and the state's famously extensive cave system.
